Nearing the End of the Afghan

I have about three inches more to work before the latest afghan reaches five feet long. Usually I don't make them that long. The are not lap robes but they aren't long enough to cover your head and feet at the same time. This one will be an exception.

Someone in New Jersey makes super size ones that cover a whole mattress on a regular sized bed!

Now that's an afghan!

  1. I'm looking forward to seeing your afghan. They are lots of work but very much worth it. I finished one last week that fits on a queen size bed and I'm planning to put it in the camper this summer. There is nothing as nice as a crocheted or knitted blanket to cuddle up in.

  2. I should make one for my extra tall Grandsons! A few years back I sewed two blankets from wally world together for each of them as they said a blanket is never long enough:)

  3. Glad to know that you are soon reaching the end of your work! Crocheted bedspreads or blankets are not only visually pleasing but also invite snuggles. I am eagerly waiting for your work to be displayed. Five feet is quite an attempt! Good going girl!!
