These golden trees are in downtown Portland Oregon, one of the prettiest cities in the US, IMHO.
We are having some beautiful colors this fall in Kansas. I guess I always think of the northwest as full of pine trees - all green!
Interesting remark by Craig Ferguson last night....."Northern Scotland is beautiful - like Oregon only dry."

My new motto

This was a t-shirt, seen at the Kansas State Fair. I need to have one of these - or a sign - to help me avoid napping. Maybe if I went to bed earlier, I wouldn't need to sleep in the daytime.
Anyway, I love the shirt and wonder if it has an additional meaning. Maybe something to do with a product?

Angels and Snow People

The things in this collection were given to me by some very dear friends.
I even enjoy dusting them.

Happy Halloween

I've heard that the most decorated holiday after Christmas is Halloween. My contribution is one quilted table runner on the coffee table. Barb M. helped me make this in 1994 when I was trying to learn how to quilt. The hand print is from Miss Schmucker's Kindergarten class around 1936. (Wonder if she was related to the jelly makers.)

Pumpkin Pass

The first job this morning is to move all those pumpkins from the box to the big pile. To make a boring job more interesting, let's just toss them.

No misses, no messes.

Flu Prevention

Now that we are officially in a nationwide emergency, here is my small effort to prevent the spread of H1N1.

A new day

For reasons unknown, the powers that be in the blogosphere, gave me a jolt. The older blog is no longer available but that won't stop me from having my say! Welcome to the new address.
