Looks like Texas Blue Bonnets

But they are not! They are in the Pacific Northwest.

More familiar - small daisies

I like the way they look like wild flowers.

Oregon Flora

This reminds me of an artichoke at the top.
And, of course, I do not know the name of this beauty.

Daisies?

I just wish ANYthing was blooming here. These are in the Pacific Northwest.

Rainbow Basketball Goal Sweater

This is a knitted pole cover.
Rainbow Coalition?
I think it's lovely and a wonderful job with even stitches.

Azalea Bushes in Oregon

Are these bushes able to grow in Kansas?
I have never seen any here.

Oregon Poppy

Actually I'm not sure these are  poppies.
I do not know much about flowers
but these look so perfect, they might be artificial.
If so, they are in a lovely, outdoor setting.

Blooming?

Or is it closing up? Another Oregon shot from November. I love those glossy leaves.

Another Yellow Bloom

Also blooming last November. Did I mention it is usually very damp in Portland?

Weird Branch

In the background you can see a "W" shaped tree. The main horizontal limb is
resting on another main branch.

Here is the problem: during a strong wind, they rub together.

So, soon the branch will be removed, losing the main part where
the blossoms are both red and white.
I hate to see it go.

Flowering Tree - OR

I wish I knew what type of tree this is.  Just very pretty!
Update:
It's a magnolia tree.

Springtime in Oregon

Since there are not many "out and about" trips here, PN encouraged me to use some of his floral photos from the great state of OR.

I think these are crocuses...croci...Webster says either one is correct.

Beautiful, whatever you want to call them.

Beautiful Green

I don't know what this plant is, but it's growing in Oregon.

I don't think it would grow here because of the lack of  moisture, humidity, rain and other forms of liquid.

Winter Damage on April 10th

We  had a freezing rain with thunder and lightning last night.

The destruction in our back yard is pretty extensive on our beautiful tree.

The temperature is below freezing and the wind is blowing.

I'm hoping we don't lose more branches before it warms up.

Aesthetics?

Several days ago we managed to "eat out" at one of our favorite restaurants.

I enjoyed a steak, salad and baked potato. It was delicious as always.

Later I read a few critiques of the the restaurant online. One person thought the steak and baked potato plopped on a plain white plate was not appetizing.

I guess I don't eat with my eyes. It looked and tasted fine to me.

Finally

Several trees like this in our neighbor-
hood have been blooming for a few
days.
Ours finally showed up Saturday. I
decided to get a couple of pictures
before the storms come and blow all
the blooms off.

I think this is a flowering pear.
