Kitchen Kazoo Band

This is a group of ladies from the First Methodist Church, posing as if they are playing their kazoos.
I can't believe that my mom is not in the photo - maybe she took it. If you look closely, you'll see that the instruments range from an angel cake pan to a hand pushed carpet sweeper.

This might have been in the late 1930' or early 1940's. I don't know where or when they performed! I am amazed they are wearing slacks. I think they only came into common wear in the '30's.

  1. What a great old photo! My husbands Mom did not wear pants out of the house until in the 1970's and his Grandma never did wear pants.
