One More Photo

I was checking over my blogs and realized I had not uploaded the photo of my mom when she graduated from nursing school in Halstead, KS!

So I'll put it here. The black stripe on the cap meant she was a registered nurse and had passed all the boards.
  It was easy then to know who was nurse.

    I miss the hats the nurses used to wear. When I was a candy striper back in the 70's we even had little caps with a pink and blue stripe on them. Your mom was beautiful.

    Yes back then all the nurses wore caps! What a lovely nurse your Mom was! :)

    I miss those days too. My daughter-in-law is a RN and they all wear scrubs, although she did wear the white uniform and hat for her graduation.
