Relapse?

Yesterday was not as bad as the first day after the flu shot but I certainly didn't feel up to normal - whatever that is at eighty-eight. I still believe that everyone who can should get them. You not only protect you, but your family.

So I slept and barely fixed anything to eat. Lee likes soup from Progresso so that's what we had.

This morning seems to be going much better. I have the tatter tot casserole in the oven. I am so glad Lee likes casseroles.  My dad would eat them but he preferred to not have all that stuff in there together. He was a sweetie and so was my mom. She was also a very good cook which I did not inherit from her!

  1. You're right about the flu shot. A good friend's husband failed to get his and died and he was mid-60s. It has taken a while for my husband to agree to eat casseroles. He prefers everything in separate piles on his plate. Mom knew how to stretch the food dollar, and one of the best ways to do that was to make a casserole.

  2. I know you're right about the flu shot, but the one this year has knocked the stuffing right out of me. I've had a strange humming in my head since the day after the shot that just isn't going away and I'm exhausted too.
I think I'm very lucky. Dennis will eat anything at all that I give him. He loves casseroles, (except tuna casserole, but he will eat it if I fix it.)
I hope you feel completely well tomorrow when you wake up.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

    1. Thank you, Betsy! I am so sorry you are having bad side effects. Perhaps you might check with you doctor about your reaction. And I do feel better today (Thursday)
