Old Kelly Mill

I guess when it's no longer useful, there is a good reason to tear a building down; sometimes it's good to have an old landmark.

    Several of our old buildings are finding new uses today. With the economy though, that is hard to do. Private donors have helped in many situations.

    That has happened here in a few cases. One person told me that the fabulous Bisonte (Harvey House) Hotel that we lost would have been almost impossible to bring up to the codes necessary now.

    Out this way in Needles, California they are in a big project to restore the old Harvey House Hotel there. I hope it happens...
