Today was coffee with Linda at McDonald's. We were approached by two little old gray haired ladies (our age group) who told my friend that she had walked right by them earlier. Linda had a blank look on her face and said, "I'm sorry I don't remember your name." The lady said, "Aren't you ___?" With my hearing loss, I didn't hear the name she gave but it wasn't Linda!
So L. told her what her name was, introduced me and the woman knew my name from working at SWB years ago! I had heard her name but we weren't acquainted. We all had a laugh over people looking alike, losing our perception of who is who and old age in particular.
Linda and I are just glad we can remember who we are.
