In making an effort to keep the rabbits out of the yard, L. replaced three boards that had small openings near the ground.It will take a long time for them to "weather" enough to match the rest.

It may take a while, but it's a contrast in the meantime. We have rabbits all over the place here. We keep them away from the good stuff by replacing our lawn with St. Augustine (they hate it) and planting a something they LOVE (mexican heather), so they'll leave the rest alone. It works pretty good.
