PBX stands for Public Branch Exchange. Plugs and cords and lights and buzzers. Ah, those
were the days when "operators" were needed.

ReplyDeleteYes, that was the "ambulance" phone. Before 911, we answered calls for Reno County Ambulance service. Scared the new hires - very primitive!
ReplyDeleteWe wore a headset for the board calls. The shoulder rest was so we could have hands free to write.
