Two Popular Places on the Fairground

Is that Beer Garden buildng what you call a false front?

I remember that some years ago no alcohol was allowed in Kansas, a dry state. Of course, that was when planes who flew over Kansas had to stop serving liquor, beer or wine. The Wichita sheriff tried to control the law but it was difficult at 30,000 feet.

In about 1948 the voters decided to let some alcohol into private clubs. Members only could imbibe. And 3.2 beer was available to the common man.

Other changes occurred until we now have liquor stores, Still no sales in grocery stores or on Sunday.

Those blue laws are hard to completely vote down.
