Happy Mother's Day

She was a nurse, graduating in the class of 1923 from the Halstead (KS) school of nursing.
She married my dad in 1928 and they adopted me in 1931. She went back to work during WWII because there was a shortage of nurses. She told them she had a 13 year old daughter. They replied,
"She can take care of herself." She gave the painless shots in the geriatric ward at Grace Hospital.
A  great mom, a good cook and a wonderful nurse. She has been gone fifty years this coming October. Miss her.

  1. I know what you mean, Mary Lou. I lost my own mother in 1980.

However have a Happy Mother's Day!
