It is also my dad's birthday - May 11, 1898. Many times Mother's Day and his birthday fell on the same date. Gift and card buying done in one short time period!
Did I mention? It was also their wedding anniversary? They were a happy pair. I never heard a harsh word between them. Maybe when I wasn't around? But Mom always said, "When your dad gets mad, he gets quiet."
I miss them both. He was with us until March of 1982 - almost 84 years old.
