This is my mom, taken for her 25th wedding anniversary in 1953.
Today is the 109th anniversary of her birth in Halstead, KS.
She became a nurse, taking her training during the time
that Dr. Arthur Hertzler was at the Halstead Hospital.
She and my dad adopted me when I was five months old.
Best thing that ever happened to me.
She loved her two grandsons for only five years but they were a great joy in her
life. She was with us for only sixty years. How I wish she could
have known her four great granddaughters.
Love you, Mom.
Aw, very sweet. I only have good memories of Grandma, though few. I was so young.
