This is from 1924 at the Lyons salt mine. I'm thinking this might be at the
entrance. There is a lot of light for this being underground!
My mother, Selma, is on the right with a friend, Nell Brown. They both were married and the couples shared an apartment. It seems that Nell stepped out as did my mom's husband - not together! They just were "out." So that left my mom at home with dad. However, she swore that they didn't date till years later.
So, Nell's ex married my mom and three years after their marriage in 1928, I arrived on the scene.
Things were complicated way back when.
