Lawrence Welk

When my folks watched the Welk show back in the '60's, I thought it was really "corny."
Now I find myself watching; not just to hear songs with Johnny Mercer lyrics and memories of WWII, but to see the singers.

These programs were recorded in the days before everybody had perfectly straightened teeth. Everyone looks natural. No nose jobs; no Botox; no pearly whites.
Tonight, however, there was a group of sisters and one of them had braces!
Can you imagine anyone in a singing group today wearing such a thing on television?

 Perhaps this was the beginning of the end of natural looking teeth!
