Child of the '30's

This is the same girl that was in yesterday's post. I think the age is about four. I have no idea why she is looking so glum. I remember a happy childhood with dancing lessons even!
It looks like she is holding a candy (?) cigarette in her right hand.
Love those button shoes although I do remember the button hook sometimes pinched skin.
