A Tree of Many Colors

This tree in our back yard is a puzzlement. I see yellow, pink and purple leaves as it changes its dress before disrobing completely.

New Tires for an Old Van

 We bought this van second hand in Texas seven years ago.

Since then we've only made one trip across state lines to Texas. Not traveling makes tires last a long time but not forever.

I do believe that these new tires are probably worth more than the van.

And the Rain Came -

 and re-carpeted the lawn! The wind was fierce but the leaves were so wet there was no blowing. This morning it is 20 degrees colder and we see the sun.

I love fall.

Swept Clean

 Our neighbor to the north has one small tree in his front yard so he doesn't have to deal with many falling leaves. . . until the wind blows from the south. Then our lovely orange downfall travels into his yard.

L. has been using the mower to pick them up in our yard and has  gone over to the neighbor's yard to pick the ones that were just over the property line.

Yesterday we left to  run an errand and there were many leaves in both places. When we came back, the yards were leafless!  Dale had used his mower to vacuum both areas.
How nice of him!
