Today was the big day for the carpet cleaners to arrive. One efficient man, lots of hoses and a strong smell of cleaning stuff. It was not unpleasant but it was very strong. I had to go out on the back porch to breathe for a while. The forecast from two days ago failed - from a promised 68 down to about 40. We had planned to sit out there with the dogs and soak up the sun. Instead, Lee stayed in the middle bedroom with the dogs for an hour and twenty minutes. I was amazed that they didn't bark when they heard a different voice.
So nice to get that cleaning out of the way. I do wish we had tile floors! When they built this house wall to wall carpet was all the rage. Now it's hard wood or a facsimile there of. Times and styles change! When I was a kid, the four houses we lived in during my growing up years all had wooden floors with a large rug in the main living room but none in the bedrooms.

I like a floor you can wash and area rugs that you can throw out when they get bad :)
