Canned Cranberry Sauce

This was our salute to Thanksgiving. No turkey but plenty of roast beef, potatoes, onions, carrots, gravy and scalloped corn.
Since I am the only one who eats this red sauce, this amount will be around for a while.

It was pretty good this morning on cream of wheat.

The serving dish almost always had celery in it when Mom used it; in fact I think she called it a celery dish.

  2. Fun picture of the cranberry sauce in the celery dish! I was happy you stopped by my Pieces of the Past. You were right about Ike's son being John and not David, as I had stated. I think his father was David. But Ike was out of office in 1961 and his son married Julie Nixon in 1968 so it was even later than that with the kiddies being there. So most likely the photo wasn't taken in the White House. :-) Carol
