Advice for Visitors

This trivet hung in my mom's kitchen and I always like the sentiment. If we can stand the mess we live in, you'll just have to endure it for your short visit here.

Atom Pop

Hungry for  popcorn from my 1960 Atom popcorn popper - made in Quincy, KS.  Where is Quincy, you ask?  I have no idea!  Later:  Googlemaps.com tells me Quincy is about 50 miles south of Emporia, KS.

I like fields like this with our state flower. I hope we get a better crop of these this summer.
So far the wheat fields look mighty puny.

Defective Rain Gauge

Upon closer examination we received an inch of rain - but from the kitchen window, after the

storm, I saw no sign of rain in the tube!

Leaning Treat

As far as I'm concerned, summer is here. We had our first gui-dunk (rhymes with free, which it was not!) from the ice cream shop last night.

The off center tower happened when the sack fell over. Luckily, we asked for lids.
